Cathy Bruce has been the Director of Communications at the Kentucky Annual Conference since March 2008. Prior to working at KAC she had a long career in television that begin in engineering at the FOX affiliate in Louisville, where she was part of the team that started the first newscast for that station.

Cathy then moved on to the PBS affiliate still working in engineering, and transitioned into editing (when editing was still an engineering function). She served as chief editor for 5 years and during that time was also given the opportunity to begin producing and eventually directing programs for the station. After leaving PBS, she spent eleven years doing freelance television, mostly sports. After getting paid to be at sporting events it still pains her when she actually has to pay to go to an event!

She is married and the mother of two adult children, Robert lll (Trey) and Kirbey.
